Rex Brandt and other artists from the Progressive Art Center of Southern California, exhibit “modern” paintings at the Gallery. Young artist Rex Brandt, became a nationally recognized artist and Associate of the National Academy of Design. He returned to have a solo exhibit at the Whittier Art Gallery in December of 1957.
