Note: Currier and Ives was an American printmaking firm based in New York City, 1837 -1907, the firm produced prints from paintings by fine artists as black and white lithographs that were hand colored. The prints depicted a variety of images of American life. Currier and Ives was the most prolific and successful company of lithographs in the U.S.
