Ten nationally-known artists exhibited during the gallery’s 1941-1942 year. There were two member’s competitive exhibits.

Note:Β  Within the gallery building, there were two galleries, the β€œlarge” main floor gallery, reserved for professional artists, and the β€œsmall” or β€œannex” gallery, intended for local or emerging artists. Newspaper articles sometimes refer to The Whittier Art Gallery as the Whittier Art Galleries.
During the Gallery’s 1941-1942 fiscal year, 10 local artists exhibited in the small or β€œannex” gallery, while professional artists exhibited on the main floor (large) gallery. Β The two Competitive Member’s Exhibits were shown on the main floor.
